Meet the Webbers!

Hi! We are Shayne and Jere' Webber. We have been married 25 years, we are licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in Texas, and we are entrepreneurs. We have four precious children, three of whom are now adults. Part of our mission as parents has been to create a life that allows for family time each day.

Our family is our priority- especially as the children have gotten older and have more demands on their time. We have family dinner, we play games, we read scriptures, we pray, we joke around, we allow feelings, and we talk it out. Over the years together, I have learned that nothing is more important than each of us feeling safe, loved, accepted, and respected in our home. Do we all think/believe/act alike? No. Do we strive to hold space for each other's beliefs and thoughts? Yes. It has taken us many years to get to this point. There have been times we didn't get it right as parents, and times we did pretty well. We are learning to hold onto one another as a couple and as a family, and we are still working to improve.

FamLead was created so that we could work with couples and parents on a larger scale, who do not need focused therapy but need support and guidance in their relationships and as parents. FamLead is a community of support and education. As graduate students, we taught undergraduate classes in child development, human sexuality, basic interpersonal skills, human development, prenatal and infant development, and courtship and marriage. We have experienced blending families, we have experienced miscarriages and other tremendous losses. There have been times we have watched the other suffer in silence during the loss of both of our parents. We have struggled and flailed during the teenage years with some of our children. We have invested in repairing past hurts with our children and with each other. We have experienced starting successful businesses, and we have experienced loss in business. Through all the trials and joys, we have found ways to stay connected to each other as we steadfastly hold on to our relationship with Heavenly Father and our testimonies of Jesus Christ.
